Yorkshire Terrier
Yorkshire Terrier breed is not an ancient one. Yorkshire Terrier is only 100 years old or so, but their birth is not completely assured yet. Yorkshire Terrier was developed for catching the terrible rats and as a hunting dog that could enter into fox burrows. Initially, Yorkshire Terrier was a giant sized dog as compared to the the one we see today. But by selectively breeding the dog was gradually miniaturized with the passage of time. At last their fashion breed was developed. Women love carrying these tiny and fluffy dogs in their bags and under their arms. Yorkshire Terrier belongs to toy breed group. They are sharp, keen to discover, extremely trustworthy to their owner and family. If they are socialized in early ages, then they generally get along with other dogs and household animals without any troubles. They are watchful, curious and keen to stay busy. Yorkshire Terrier dogs have a pleasant nature and do not stick to their handlers. Pomeranians are not recommended for very young children and beginner dog keepers. Too much concentration from children can make them anxious and they may become hot tempered. However, they would become the best companion of old people and also behave themselves with children. They love to spend time with well mannered and chary children. Sweet Yorkshire Terrier gets affection very soon from every one and is very friendly by nature.
Their particularly lengthy, shiny and glossy coat falls straight down on both sides. They are generally steal blue on the body and tail, and tan everywhere else. Their puppies are typically black and tan. Approximately, half hair of the tail is usually docked in length. Yorkshire Terrier has a smooth head, a black nose, regular shaped teeth and medium sized length of muzzle. Their eyes give extremely spirited appearance and they have alphabet “v” shaped ears, in some species erect and sometimes semi erect. They have round feet and black nails. These modest dogs want daily grooming using a hair brush as they have fluffy coat. A topknot is usually recommended to tie with a bow so that they can see properly. Some Shish Tzu’s owners prefer to have them trimmed. It lets you to care for the coat easily and in a proper way.

Yorkshire Terrier dog breed is a vigorous and modest warrior that does not need a lot of exercise. But they love playing with their family and kids. They live round about 12 – 15 years. You should clean their teeth regularly. In this way, you can prevent your lovely pet from several health problems. This breed sheds little.
